Broadly, my academic research investigates pattern and place: how two-dimensional pattern is formed and interacts with: the sites pattern is printed on, such as textiles or wallpaper, the place pattern is located in, such as a room, and how pattern interacts with a viewer.
This cross-disciplinary research builds from my doctoral research on two-dimensional pattern, and is informed by extensive, specialist knowledge of digital printing on textiles, with my book ‘Ink Jet Textile Printing’ (2015), published in conjunction with The Textiles Institute.
